Design a decorative heating vent register, see it on the floor, and download an STL ready to print face-down on a Bambu P1S.

Measure the hole itself, not the old register's face. Registers are named by the hole: a "4 × 10" fits a 4 in × 10 in opening.

5Preview finish

This only colours the preview. Print it in the filament that matches.

Print it exactly as exported: decorative face down on the plate, skirt up. No supports.
PLA or PETG, 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 15 % infill. Use PETG over a floor heating duct that runs hot.
A smooth PEI plate gives a glossy face; the textured plate gives a cast-iron grain.
